Oatley Vineyard Price-list Spring 2010
All the wines below are dry, white wines made from grapes grown on old vines at our Somerset vineyard. They show the character of the vine variety, the soil, the site's microclimate and the year's weather. All meet English Quality Wine or (for the older vintages) English Regional Wine standards.
Jane’s 2009 - New release
Best quality English vintage since 2006, with a fine, warm autumn giving intense flavours. Jane’s 2009 is fragrant, dry, light and spritzy, full of upfront fruit. Great for summer drinking. Highly Commended English and Welsh Wine of the Year 2010. 100 per cent Madeleine Angevine grape. English Quality Wine PDO. Dry. 11.5% alcohol.

Leonora’s 2009 - New release
Young, but very drinkable already. Delicate nose, lively palate with a hint of spice and a long, crisp fruit-driven finish. Hint of spritz. Medium-weight and elegant. Will mature over 3-4 years. Highly Commended, English and Welsh Wine of the Year 2010. 100 per cent Kernling grape. English Quality Wine PDO. Dry. 11.5% alcohol.

Oatley Jane’s 2008
Cool year overall. Unusually dull August. Saved by a lovely September that brought a small harvest of Madeleine grapes in later and slghtly greener than usual but in excellent condition. Fragrant, dry and crisp with lemony notes. 100% Madeleine Angevine grapes. Commended International Wine Challenge 2010. Silver medal English Wine of the Year 2010. 11.5% alcohol.

2007
A warm spring and autumn gave an early, well-ripened harvest. Yields restricted by wet, cool July. Strict canopy management through the summer helped keep the quality high. 80% Kernling, 20% Madeleine Angevine. Delicate nose, a balance of fragrance and fruit from the two varieties. Lively palate. Long, crisp finish. Commended Decanter World Wine Awards 2009. 11.5% alcohol.

Leonora's 2006: Partners’ Reserve
JUST RELEASED: We kept back a few cases of this flagship wine. Last chance to buy. Hot year with rain at the right time. High quality and highest-ever yield. This wine is fruity, delicate and delicious and has gained in elegance and subtlety as it has matured. Commended in the International Wine Challenge and the Decanter World Wine Awards in both 2008 and 2009. 100% Kernling grapes. 11.5% alcohol.

Leonora's 2005
A warm but tricky year in the vineyard producing a small yield of rich wine that is now drinking well. A good choice with fine food: will stand up well to robust flavours such as smoked fish and pates. Bronze Medal, SWVA 2008 (Harvest too small for the international competitions). 100% Kernling grapes.
