Oatley Price-list Winter 2011/12


A case is 12 bottles, each of the standard 75cl size. We deliver cases free in and around Somerset. Further afield we charge at cost for courier delivery - as a guide £11 for mainland UK for 1 case, £15 for 2 cases. Mixed cases priced in proportion. See above for how to order.


Jane’s 2010

Similar to and maybe even better than Jane’s 2009. Still young and frisky, white peach with lemony overtones. Starting to open out. BRONZE: SW Vineyards Sep 2011 on its first, shy, teenage outing. Judges said “Attractive nose, light and fresh, lemony palate. Good fruit balance, particularly on finish. Very nice”. English Quality Wine PDO. 100% Madeleine Angevine grape.  11.5% alcohol. Dry.

Leonora’s 2010

It had a long, slow fermentation in the 2010/11 cold winter and there is still a touch (5g/l) of residual sugar in this dry young wine. BRONZE SWVA Sep 2011 on its first outing. Judges said, “Pears  and touch of honey on nose, light and fresh. lots of fruit, well-balanced acidity, with coherent finish. Citrusy, elegant”.  English Quality Wine PDO. 100% Kernling grape. 11.5% alcohol. Dry.

Oatley Barrel Matured 2010

NEW RELEASE LIMITED EDITION. Only 250 bottles made. Each bottle hand numbered. This is our Madeleine Angevine (Jane’s) 2010 matured in our light-toasted, French oak hand-coopered barrel.  English Quality Wine PDO. 100% Madeleine Angevine grape. 11.5% alcohol. Dry.

Jane’s 2009

This wine has won a clutch of international and national awards: TROPHY  for Best dry white SW Vineyards Sep 2011, BRONZE MEDAL Decanter World Wine Awards May 2011, SILVER MEDAL, UK Wine of the Year Competition Jul 2011.  Judges said, “ Very pale lemon-green, CO2, English flower garden, herbs and roses. Good concentration of flavour, lively acidity and still youthful. Lovely wine.” English Quality Wine PDO. 100% Madeleine Angevine grape.. 11.5% alcohol. Dry.

Leonora’s 2009

Won a very exciting SILVER MEDAL in the International Wine Challenge 2011, the world’s biggest and most prestigious wine competition. The judges verdict: ”pale silver lime-leaf green hue. Delicate white flowers and white peach, a touch of spritz on palate, fresh acidity, creamy underlay. Very nice wine.”  Silver medal, UK Wine of the Year Competition 2011. Will mature over 3-5 years.  English Quality Wine PDO. 100 per cent Kernling grape. 11.5% natural alcohol. Dry.

Leonora's 2005

A warm but tricky year in the vineyard producing a small yield of rich wine. Smoky and complex. Good with spicy food. Bronze Medal, SWVA 2008 Judges said, “Rich, sweet melony nose. Crisp, fruity broad body with nice finish”. 100% Kernling grape. English Regional Wine. 12.5% natural alcohol. Dry

Bottle sales: You can buy by the bottle at the vineyard. As a guide, bottle prices are around 10% more than if you bought them in a case.
