Our current wines

Jane's 2021:

Matthew Jukes, UK wine critic, 22 June 2022:

I have a soft spot for sensitively made Madeleine Angevine, and ‘Jane’s’ is delightfully light, pure and innocent with lovely poise and freshness. It is a classic example of a quintessential English summer white designed for all-day drinking with your best friends. Given the case price, you have no excuse for missing out on this gentle, soothing white wine."

Independent English Wine Award 2022 judge:

"Pretty, floral, soft, melon, creamy, balanced & bright. Lemon and lime."

Oatley Sparkling Brut Nature 2019

In the Tim Atkin "England Special Report 2021", Tom Hewson MW wrote: "Quite funky with dried peach and pear skin, autumnal english fruit and a dry, oxidative style with some herbal sage notes. Naturalistic." 86 points.

Independent English Wine Award 2022 judge:

"Good wine with great fruit and attractive nose."

Leonora's 2018:

In the Tim Atkin "England Special Report 2021", Tom Hewson MW wrote:

"Rather interesting, quite austere with lime cordial and sage. Slender and quite riesling-like, with plenty of tangy, limey acidity." 85 points.

Jul 2021 Jo: This is a great way to enjoy a couple of hours. Book the wine, glasses chairs tables are provided in serene vineyard. Lovely people running it. The wine is great. As good as a lot of French wine. We absolutely loved it. Be careful: you will want to buy more bottles to take home. We did. No regrets.

Feb 2022 Val:

Jun 2019 TripAdv: Must Visit. At the end of a single track lane, just off the A39 near Cannington, a beautiful small vineyard. Iain and Jane made us welcome even though we turned up unannounced. The business is a relaxed passion and way of life for them. Tried two delicious but different white wines, as good if not better than other English wines we buy. We sat outside and chatted about how the vineyard came about and its many awards, also learning more about the evolution of winemaking. An hour went like a flash, two great hosts. They have people who picnic in the vineyard and also wedding/hen parties etc. We bought a case as the wine is that good. You must visit. EnigmaNimrod.
